About Dr. Peters
Dr. Peters received his undergraduate, dental and orthodontic degrees from Marquette University. He received the Alpha Omega Award for graduating first in his dental school class prior to earning a master's degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics in 1993. After graduating, Dr. Peters moved back to his home town of East Lansing to open his practice. Dr. Peters is Board Certified and holds the title of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and Central District Dental Society, of which he is past president. Dr. Peters also volunteers his time as a member of the Mid-Michigan Cleft & Facial Malformation Group at Sparrow Hospital.
Dr. Peters and his wife, Dr. Van-anh Peters (who is a general dentist) reside in East Lansing and have three children, Jack, Nick, and Will.
Dr. Peters enjoys spending time with his family and taking part in many outdoor activities, including sailing, biking, skiing, camping and golfing.
"Growing up the son of a general dentist, I always knew I wanted to work with people in a private practice setting as a health care professional. Orthodontics was the perfect specialty for me, as I enjoy people, physiology and physics."
